Reset your password

This article is for users who log in to Record Manager with their email and a password.

You can reset a lost password to regain access to your account and you should change your password frequently to protect the data you access.

Tip

If you log in with Google or Microsoft Single Sign On (SSO), you can reset a Google password or change a Microsoft password using your account provider’s instructions.

  1. Go to Record Manager.
  2. On the sign-in page, select Forgot your password?
  3. Enter your email address (the email address you use to access Record Manager).
  4. Select SEND EMAIL.  
  5. Open the password reset email. 
  6. Find and select “... confirm the password change click here”. A web page will open and prompt you to reset your password.
  7. Enter your new password and confirm it.

    Important

    Your password must have at least 8 characters composed of at least one lower and one upper case letters, one number, and a special character (!@#$%^&*).
     

  8. Select Reset password.
  9. Return to the Record Manager sign-in page on a new tab or new window. You may have to refresh the page to clear any autofill-text.
  10. Log in with your new password.
