If you see the error “Login failed. Please check your credentials.”, ensure that your email address and password are correct or try resetting your password.
If you’ve reset your password and still can’t log in, try the following:
- Ensure you log in from portal.smoothwall.cloud/safeguarding/record-manager. Don’t use a search engine to search for the Record Manager login page.

Bookmark portal.smoothwall.cloud/safeguarding/record-manager to access the Record Manager login page easily.
- If you’ve just reset your password, close and restart your browser, then try logging in with your new password.
Tip
Open portal.smoothwall.cloud/safeguarding/record-manager in an Incognito or Private mode browser window and try logging in.
- If you’re a DSL, Record Manager might ask you to set up Two-factor authentication (2FA) as another layer of security. If 2FA is active, you must use 2FA to sign in.
