This guide explains how you can view a record’s status in Record Manager. Your school’s DSLs (Designated Safeguarding Leads) can alter the record’s status to Open or Closed. It is important to note that you can only see the status of the Records you created.
Note
A record in Record Manager is either a Safeguarding Concern, a Behaviour Incident or a General Note.
Record status options in Record Manager
On the Status column, you will see one of four statuses:
Status | Description | Example |
---|---|---|
Unread | You (or another staff member) have successfully submitted a record, but a DSL still needs to acknowledge or mark it as Read. | |
Open | A DSL has acknowledged the record and marked it as Read. This means that action is ongoing regarding this record or that it is being reviewed. | |
Closed |
A DSL has resolved a record and marked it as Closed. You may see this status more rarely when the student has been transferred to another school that uses Record Manager. Record Manager will automatically close any open records for that student. For records that involve multiple students, a checkmark will appear for the student whose record has been marked as Closed by the DSL. |
