This article is for Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs).
A student’s Combined Body Map shows their 10 most recent body maps. A body map indicates the injuries a student has sustained after an event, such as an accident or a physical altercation with another student. It also provides a pattern of prior and self-inflicted injuries.
Body Maps are added when Safeguarding Concern or Behaviour Incident records are created or updated.
Important
This article doesn’t explain how to interpret a student’s combined body map. For a thorough investigation or understanding of the injuries recorded on a student’s combined body map, you can engage local support services or authorities or check with your school (e.g. other DSLs) for keys for recording injuries on a body map.
To view a combined body map:
- Sign in to Record Manager and select Search on the left menu.
- Find the student using Student Search.
- Select View on the student’s row in the Active Students tab.
Tip
If the student is not in the Active Students tab, find them in the Archived Students tab.
- Select Combined Body Map at the top of the student’s profile page.
- The Combined Body Map will pop up, showing the injuries observed on the student.
