This article is for all Record Manager users.
You can view replies to your records via Notifications or as an updates a records.
View a reply in Notifications
- Sign in to Record Manager and select the Notifications icon at the top-right of the page.
- Find the reply notification. Reply notifications have Reply Received headings.
- The reply message is within the notification and includes the record type (for example, Behaviour Incident) and the student’s name.

Tip
You can pin the reply to the top of your notifications.
View a DSL’s reply as an update to a record
Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL) can view other DSLs' replies as updates on records.
- Sign in to Record Manager and find the record.
- Select View. If the record includes multiple students, select the relevant student's name.
- Record Manager will open the record within the student’s Chronology tab. Select Expand Updates below the Details panel.
- Select Details. The reply message is in the Update Details box.
- If there are multiple updates, choose the one labeled Nature of Update: Reply. Replies are dated and timestamped to help you select the right one from several responses.
A reply added as an update shows the record’s reporter, indicates if a DSL was informed, and shows the names of other students involved in the record (if applicable).
The Update Details box shows the recipient, the reply message, and the other staff members who received copies of the reply.
